TONZU Tofu Lasagne

A pasta favourite, our TONZU Tofu Lasagne is nourishing and tasty. Replacing traditional mincemeat with TONZU Tofu gives a new take on flavour and an alternative protein source for the dish. Add mushrooms or other soft vegetables if desired, and enjoy with a fresh salad.



  • 450g TONZU Tofu, mashed
  • Lasagna pasta sheets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups whole tomatoes
  • 1 tspn basil
  • 1 tspn oregano
  • 1 cup spinach, steamed and chopped
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½1/2 tspn nutmeg
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Mozzarella slices (or grated)


  • Cook lasagna sheets in boiling salted water and set aside to cool.
  • Saute onion and garlic in a little hot oil until onion is golden.
  • Stir in tomatoes, sauce, basil and oregano. Simmer about ½ hour.
  • Mix spinach, cheese, tofu, nutmeg, salt & pepper separately.
  • Layer about 1/3 of the pasta sheets in a large baking dish.
  • Spread 1/3 cheese mixture and pour 1/3 tomato sauce on top.
  • Repeat layers twice.
  • Top with Mozzarella cheese to cover. Bake at 350 degrees F or 175 C for 30 minutes.

How to Serve

  • A great meal served with garlic bread and your favourite salad greens.
